Closing machinist

Seam work on uppers for all four lines, at a bench in the same building as every other stage of the shoe.

Closing Bình Dương Full-time

Seam work, skiving, folding and eyelets on post-bed, flat-bed and single-purpose machines, on uppers for all four lines. You work one bench, in the same building as every other stage of the shoe.

Closing sits between cutting and lasting, so what leaves your bench is checked against the pair the customer approved before it moves on. A fault found later traces back to a bench and a shift, not to a supplier nobody here has met.

The lines change with the programme on the floor — leather uppers one week, a sports upper or a heel the next — so the machine you set up and the stitch you set it to change with them. Nobody is expected to arrive knowing all of it.

What the day holds

  • Closing seams on post-bed, flat-bed and single-purpose machines.
  • Skiving edges down so a folded seam lies flat under the last.
  • Folding, binding and taping, depending on what the upper calls for.
  • Setting eyelets, hooks and the hardware on the pattern.
  • Checking your own work against the approved pair before it leaves the bench.
