We do not publish an energy or carbon figure per pair. Nobody has measured one at this plant to a standard that would survive a buyer's due diligence, and an estimate produced for a website is not a measurement.
Sustainability
Responsible business, sustainable growth: what has been independently verified, kept separate from what is still only our word.
A thousand people,
four fifths of them women.
In footwear that ratio is normal and it is exactly why labour auditing matters here. Two of the four programmes this plant is certified to or audited under, amfori BSCI and SMETA 4-Pillar, exist to check pay, hours, health and safety, and the ban on child and forced labour.
GRS is a certification and issues a certificate. amfori BSCI, SMETA 4-Pillar and SCAN are audit programmes: they produce audit reports, not certificates. What each one covers.

The audits are about this room, and the people standing in it.
Labour practice, health and safety, working hours and pay — checked by two independent programmes, on the site where the work happens.
Recycled content
you can put on a label.
The Global Recycled Standard does not certify that a factory is green. It certifies that a specific recycled-content claim has been verified and traced. That is a narrower thing and a far more useful one, because it is the thing your own label has to survive.

A chain of custody is only as good as the number of gates the material passes through. Here it passes through one: material arrives at this store, moves to cutting, and stays inside the plant until the pair is boxed. There is no subcontractor in the middle whose records have to be reconciled with ours.
Where a programme needs recycled content, we buy it under the certification and document it through the stages. Where it does not, we do not pretend otherwise. A factory that describes every order as sustainable is describing none of them accurately.

- Sourced byUs, on FOB terms — or your nominated supplier where required

What we are not claiming yet.
A sustainability page is easy to write and hard to mean. Here is the part of it we have not earned, stated plainly, so you know exactly which sentences on this site are backed by a document.

We do not publish water use, waste diversion or chemical-recovery rates for the same reason. The GRS certification covers chemical criteria along the supply chain; it is not a plant-level environmental performance report and we will not present it as one.
We do not describe the whole factory as recycled. GRS applies to declared recycled content and its chain of custody, order by order.
We have no science-based target, no published reduction pathway and no third-party environmental rating. If your programme requires one, say so at enquiry stage. It is a real requirement and it deserves a real answer rather than a reassuring paragraph.
What we do have is four independent programmes reporting on this site, one certification covering material claims, and a workforce employed directly on one floor where an auditor can walk the whole process in an afternoon. Those are the things this page is prepared to stand behind.
Accompanying development,
which is a local word.
A plant of this size in Bình Dương is a large employer in the district around it. That is the relationship the company means by accompanying development, and it is a relationship rather than a programme.

Over a thousand jobs on one site, most of them held by women, in a province where footwear is a major employer. Owning the stages rather than renting capacity by the season is what makes that work steady instead of seasonal. The argument for the closed loop turns out to be a labour argument as much as a quality one.
Growth is targeted at twenty per cent a year in export volume. On this floor that is a hiring plan before it is a revenue plan.
What we claim, we can show.
The claims on this page stop where the paperwork stops. If your onboarding needs the reports themselves, name the programmes and they go out with the pack.
